Cleveland disk jockey who first used the term Rock and Roll on the air to describe the new music form in the 1950's. Also held the country's first rock concert in 1952 in Cleveland. Member of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
His career was destroyed by a payola scandal in the 50's after he moved to New York City. |
